WATCH: LBGT school set to open in Manchester

PLANS for Manchester’s first gay school are underway as an early consultation is taking place in the coming weeks.

LGBT North West, a foundation working with the gay community, has came up with the idea to create a school; which can give pupils who have been victim of homophobia a safe and friendly place to learn.

The school isn’t limited to people who are gay, lesbian, transgender or those questioning their sexuality but they have the facilities to provide the emotional support that doesn’t exist in mainstream schools.

Jim Scott went into Manchester to find out what people thought about the idea.
